I brought the most fabulous woman I know into the world - my daughter Josephine Noelle. She was 8 pounds 2 ounces, 21" long and absolutely gorgeous. No wait she was absolutely gorgeous the next day. It was a long labor and the poor kid emerged grey colored with a cone shaped head and a swollen eye. After two and a half days labor I fell asleep (unconscious) within minutes. The next day when Josie was presented to me by a smiling nurse she was perfectly pink with a perfect head and amazing blue eyes that eventually turned a true deep green.
Tomorrow will be her 7th wedding anniversary. My favorite and only son-in-law is a great guy. You couldn't believe that any two people could be so much in love. These two will never be out of honeymoon mode folks. When you are around them you would think they got married last Thursday.
Her father spoke to her early this afternoon. Actually he spoke to her I got to yell out 'Happy Birthday' in the background. What can I tell you? He gets so happily excited whenever he hears her voice I don't like to take the receiver away from him.
So right now I am sitting here on a Riverside bench soaking up some sunshine, and smiling to myself. I'm feeling pretty good today folks. Pretty good.
